Thomas gets a bad rap in this Sunday's Gospel.
This guy hears a wild story...Jesus is alive again! C'mon, that's crazy! Thomas' response seems pretty normal to me.
And doubting your faith can also be pretty normal. Many young people start doubting their faith as they get older. They ask whether all the stories they've heard about God could really be true. Some adults ask why that happens. It happens because their brains change.
As you grow, your brain develops. You start thinking in new ways. You start asking questions about life. You start challenging some things people tell you.
Don't worry if this happens. It's a normal part of growing as a disciple. But, don't let your questions separate you from Jesus...let them bring you closer.
Read about your Catholic faith...compare Catholic beliefs with other faiths...see how Catholics make a difference in the world...read about the Saints...ask your Parents, Grandparents, relatives and friends why they're so devoted...keep praying and attending Mass. Finally, ask God to help you sort out your doubts...and if you don't get answers right away - live out the questions.
Whatever you do, just don't walk away...remember what happened when Thomas stuck around.
