Liturgy is the work of the people. As liturgical ministers, we are called to lead and support the gathered faithful in full, active and conscious participation in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
We have a variety of ways in which we minister in the Liturgy, including:
Altar Server - Assisting the clergy during Mass
Sacristan - Assisting the clergy and supporting the altar server during mass
Music Minister - Leading the faithful in sung prayer
Lector - Bringing the Word of God to life for the faithful
Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion - Bringing Christ's Body and Blood to the faithful
Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion to the Sick & Homebound - Bringing Christ to the Homebound
Minister of Hospitality - Welcoming the faithful to Mass
Art & Environment - Creating an environment enhances the liturgical seasons
Liturgical Linen Service - Caring for the sacred linens used at Mass
Liturgical Ministry does not have any prerequisites. All you need is an open heart, a willingness to share and a simple "Yes" to God's call.
Due to the current Health Orders from State, County, and Diocesan Officials, many of our liturgical ministries are not active at this time.
