In the Gospel, some verses that stick out the most are “And what sign will there be when all these things are about to happen?” and “See that you not be deceived, for many will come in my name, saying, 'I am he,' and 'The time has come.' Do not follow them!” and “for such things must happen first, but it will not immediately be the end."
Sometimes, we look for signs when making big decisions, decisions that we are unable to make for ourselves for fear of embarrassment, judgment, or failure. Sometimes we even turn to people to guide us in those decisions. Or help us lean more towards another. Those people could have your best intentions at heart, but others may not. The decisions that we make whether we take into account the signs, people’s opinion or even just a decision that we made on our own, will have an impact on not only our life, but the people around you as well. Sometimes those decisions can be hurtful, but there is always something to be learned and a light at the end of the tunnel. It may not seem that way and it may not be immediate, but that is an opportunity for us to take it however we feel is right at the time.
It’s okay to "fail," it’s okay that it may take you a little longer to get somewhere than others. Don’t let that “failure” define you. Don't let that be your end. It may keep you stuck and in a funk, which can happen and has happened to me multiple times. We may take wrong turns along the way, but the path to getting to where you want to be, the journey it takes to get there, and in the end makes you happy, makes it all worthwhile.
