Faith Formation Coordinator – St. Anne Church, Union City

Seeking candidates for this position with the ability and passion to develop, supervise, and implement the parish Faith Formation program including sacramental preparation for the spiritual, social, and community involvement of children grades 1-8.

Organize opportunities for children to learn their faith and to put that faith into action.

Work under the direction of the Pastor and in collaboration with the Pastoral Staff to provide leadership, vision, and coordination of a variety of activities including, but not limited to, liturgies, catechetical and faith formation, sacramental preparation, retreats, fundraising, service opportunities, social activities, family gatherings, and catechists recruitment and training.

Qualifications

• Active member of a Catholic parish faith community
• Bachelor’s degree in Theology or related field and parish experience.
• Catechist Certification or equivalent; minimum of three years of parish experience in Faith Formation and Sacrament Preparation (Grades 1 – 8) preferred.
• Candidates will possess:
  • enthusiasm for developing and maintaining a comprehensive faith formation program
  • ability to relate well with catechists, children, parents and adults in the faith community
  • ability to engage children grades 1-8,
• Candidate will posses strong leadership, recruit volunteers, and provide community outreach.
• Candidates will demonstrate:
  • effective oral and written communication skills, including email communication for interaction with children, parents, catechists, volunteers, and staff
  • organizational and multi-tasking skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, PDS parish software and social media.
• Candidate must be willing to regularly work evenings and some weekends.
