Hi! My name is Corinna Sanding and my pronouns are she/her/hers. I am so excited to join the Confirmation team for my third year as a teacher. I went through CCD, Youth Ministry and Confirmation at St. Anne, in addition to being a lector and a peer minister in Emmaus. The community at this parish has given me the support and love that allowed me to grow in my faith and as a person, so I hope to be able to provide that kind of love and support through ministry and now, teaching. St. Anne is very near and dear to my heart, so it’s an honor to be back and involved in the program again. I graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2018 and am currently teaching math at Cristo Rey De La Salle High School in Oakland, as well as working on a Credential + Masters in Teaching program at USF. Some things I am super passionate about are education, social justice, dance, Catholic education, dessert, and puns. Since the pandemic, I’ve also gotten really into reading and meditating.
As a teacher, I am obviously here to teach. More importantly, however, I believe that I have been called to this ministry so that I can learn and be inspired by the young people of the Catholic church. I am blessed to have the opportunity to be part of this journey alongside the incredible Confirmation candidates of St. Anne.
Hello, my name is Kevin Padama. This will be my fourth year teaching confirmation. Prior to becoming a Confirmation teacher, I too went through the youth ministry program here at St. Anne’s. While I was in the Confirmation program I was also an active member of the Emmaus Peer Ministry. I continued to serve with Emmaus for seven years before moving to Riverside to further my college education. I was also part of the youth and young adult choir, singing during our youth masses. Prior to my first year of Confirmation, I was driven by God’s love to come back home after graduating college, to share my faith, knowledge, and love with the St. Anne youth and community.
Other notes on myself: I grew up here in Union City. I graduated from James Logan High School in 2010. I graduated from UC Riverside in 2016 and received my bachelor’s in English. I am currently a teacher at All Saints Catholic School in Hayward. I teach 5th grade homeroom and 6th grade Literature and language Arts. When it is safe again, I will participate in Muay Thai Kickboxing and rock climbing.
